the pictures don't help. I still don't get your joke.

The reference is obviously Lost on you. One of the show's characters inadvertently (but extremely stupidly) blew up a building by typing "77" in a computer, following instructions to do so if "hostiles" had invaded. All of my ill-advised soapbox standing yesterday qualifies as the Obner version of the aforementioned Lost scenario.

It still probably doesn't make sense...even to those who watch the show.

me lol

All I got out of this thread was Cap'n talking about happy endings, Charli has an "it" for a baby and everyone pussied out on the last page and a half.

Hmmm. I suppose not being much of a regular keeps me from understanding board politics, but I just can't see how people can be so hateful towards each other for such trivial reasons. I have been on the receiving end of some not-so-nice comments in the past, but it didn't make me hate anyone or harbor grudges against anyone. I just let it go because it really is just childish namecalling. I'm rubber, you're glue bullshit.
And if it's merely that Kingfish doesn't think that Charli contributes anything to the board (I could be obvious here and say to just not read her posts), how does that make her worthy of such personal attack? Man, I'd hate to see what mean shit he (and I would guess probably others here too) would post about me. I don't contribute much as far as music discussion goes either. But, I do enjoy reading what others have to say about music, and reading about the good things that happen in their lives, and even about some of the mundane things that are what life is made of. What is wrong with sharing with others?? That's what this environment is for, isn't it?
And how can people actually "sort of hate" someone on the board? IT'S THE INTERNET. How can you hate someone you don't actually know? Geez. This isn't a high school cafeteria. Quit hating. Only because there is no viable reason to do so.

P.S. I can honestly say that I don't hate any of you. I'd rather save my hate for people who deserve it, like the guy who stole my trumpet from Tasty World on Tuesday night. Yeah, he can burn in hell.

Charli does do a lot of "Josh says" posts though. Guess she just likes his opinion.

Did you ever hear that Hickey and Voodoo Glow Skulls 7"?

The Hickey track is my all time favorite song. And then the other side is VGS making thug threats to hickey to give back the trumpet they stole. Then the booklet elaborates on why they decided to steal the trumpet. It's tits.

Who the hell steals a student-model trumpet filled with PBR spit?? That's what I'm thinking. Especially when they didn't take my purse or any other 'more cool' music stuff that was around it.

There's a small chance that Peelander-Z accidentally packed it up with their gear after the show (the band I play in was the opener). If this is the case, it was in Mobile AL last night.

Unfortunately I don't have the serial number written down. Dumb. But I will be calling some pawn shops over the next few days to describe it/the case/contents and see what turns up. I can't afford even a cheap one right now. This is when I'm kicking myself for not having insurance.

That sucks E. We were the victim of a pretty major equipment heist in Athens ourselves.

I remember playing at TW in the middle of the floor, facing the bar before they had it setup in the back. Is Murphy still running that joint?

There is a time in my life when I would have stolen a trumpet with zero plan of pawning it.
