So we come home from the grocery store, and I notice that the back window of my car on the street appears to be frosted over. I know it is busted, as we continue around the curve, I see 3 little boys using rocks for batting practice in the street. I quickly park my car and approach them. They immediately go into the "I don't know what happened, I didn't see a thing." mode. So I go up to the one kids parents house and I thought she was going to kill him. They were all apologetic, but now I have no back window in my car. I spent the day cleaning up a bazillion pieces of glass, and cleaning out my garage so I could park it inside in the event of rain. Now I have to bum a ride to work from my dad.

When I walked up to my car, it was still crackling and breaking, so I opened up the back door to put some plastic in to glass in the event that it did shatter, which happened moments later when I shut the door sort of like in the movies. God times.

I'll see about taking a picture in the morning, but it's pretty much a broken window.

So the score for the past 2 weeks is:
3 flat tires
1 broken window

Yeah, how in the heck have you gotten three flats in such a short time span? Are you driving around construction sites? Or maybe you should take a different route to work.

Bummer about the lil' punk kids busting your window. That totally sucks.

Does Cincinnati have a mobile service that comes to you and replaces auto glass? They have that here in Honolulu, it's priceless. Same day service even.

I'm sure they do--I've had a couple windshields replaced in this manner--look under GLASS in your yeller pages.

I have a lot of bad luck with picking up nails and screws in my tires, my tire guy generally gives me 2 for 1 plugs.

Nothing was open yesterday. So nothing got accomplished. I need to give my insurance a call, but I've heard the defrosters in the window make it expensive.

The 3 flats were on 3 different tires on 2 different cars. My wife had a screw in one of her tires. I hit a huge pothole with both my right side tires that bent the rims of my car. I was moving pretty fast, the pothole was pretty large, but I couldn't see it because it was dark and rainy and full of water. It looked like a puddle. At least I made it home. I passed 4 other cars pulled over after they hit it. I woke up to the 2 flats. (My donut was also flat when I change the first. I then took it to get air, filled up the rest of the tires, dropped off the first flat, and walked out to my car to discover the second flat. I guess when I added a little air, it popped the tire off the rim, so I found that a mile down the road...)

At least the car was parked--that falls under comprehensive, and generally carries a lower deductible. Either way, recoup the deductible from the brats' 'rents. Bummer.

I didn't have comprehensive on this car....I do now. I guess I should have known that, but I thought I got rid of only the collision.

I've been working on my Lala karma. Does that count?

3 quotes came in at:

$280.85
$908.06
$342.45

Nice range.
