You know what I mean.

Was that song Uncle Tueplo or Wilco?

Anyway, my poll last week about what to do was erroneous. I left out a choice. It should have read...

A. Go see the Hold Steady
B. Go see The Faint
C. End up on the gambling boat the preceeding weekend and spend all my money and not be able to go to either since payday ain't until Friday.

Wilco.
First single from their first album.

And I can't help you with your concert dilema, as I'm not familiar enough with either of those bands. I do like the Hold Steady well enough, though.

That's OK...I already choose C by spending Friday night on the Casino Queen.

I thought it was "tables so green."

Either way, not a great lyric.

Disgree. If you've ever gotten blind drunk at a blackjack table until 4 in the morning and lost a nice chunk of change you'd say that lyric is entirely appropriate and right on the money.

Maybe I am. When was the last time Wilco played this song live? I can't recall hearing anything from AM for quite a while. Have they completely disavowed this record?

Last time I saw them they played Passenger Side. That was right after AGHIB.

I saw them in '99 and they played AM, but obvs, that was '99 and before all the pop/experimental stuff came out. That's the last time I heard anything from the album and I've seen them two or three times since.

Dave, it's my favorite Wilco album. I'll burn a copy for you.

the healthiest dump wilco ever put to record. on the eve of the AM show in lawrence, i still remember the kjhk dj (ku radio) stopping the track midway through, apologize to the listeners for the bogus noise and upped pick up the change instead (a song still in their repertoire as of '01).
