FTF4 = FLA, UCLA, Memphis, Georgetown

I pick TEH HOYAZ to win it all. They're so hot right now.

I'm in, and it is definitely for a CD. This is probably the one sporting event we pick for this board that definitely requires a CD bet. I was damn near broke last year and still inevitably bought Marco a CD. Plus, I'm counting on winning it, despite my lack of confidence with the bracket this year.
My final four is Florida, Kansas, UNC and Memphis. I think UCLA and Ohio State could spoil it, and I have UNC defeating Kansas in the title game.

why? we also do CDs for an entire fantasy league season. that can be six months of near daily work. this is 63 picks over three weekends. i don't see how it's equal.

jesus.
now we're going to argue whether or not it's cd worthy?
it's a game. it's fun.
we're playing for cds.
we've always played for cds.
if you don't want to play, don't.

we didn't play for CDs the first few years. i think it was mixes, but even then the return rates were pretty poor since these threads were constantly bumped for "hey, people still owe me" posts. and that's always going to happen.

people who don't plan on honoring the 'prize' agreement shouldn't play to begin with.

Because many of us believe fantasy sports is the equivalent of nerds playing online games like Warcraft.

no, i totally get that. i just think this is like giving the winner the same prize for winning Warcraft and Super Mario 3.

the march madness pool only requires 5 minutes of clicking, where as the fantasy sports requires months of roster adjusting and waiver wire scrounging.
Luck also plays a huge part in NCAA tourney (not saying it doesn't in fantasy).

No friggin' crap. If you can't buy a cd, don't play.

Actually, I received 23 of the 25 CD's owed me---not bad for one of these contests on Obner. Persistent thread bumping payed off.

Only the redworm and Knoblach, PI didn't pay up. I don't even remember whose aliai those were, but if I don't win again this year, I hope one of them do :)

This n00b is in.

Question: When this ends, if I lose, do I just buy a CD of my choice and send it to the winner? Or do I pick from a list they set up? Just curious how it works.

the winner will post a list of what he wants, then we scramble and call dibs on the easiest and cheapest one we each can get hold of first....

i feel like wisconsin's been doing it with smoke and mirrors all season. i haven't seem in an entire game, but watched halves and, i don't know, they just don't seem that impressive, but they do get it done at the end.
