I don't think Cake really get their due in indie circles, not that it matters a lot.

Off topic, but I realllly like that song you posted by the Vapors. Is that the best tune on the disc, or are there more as good as that?

Thanks.

This is my default 'singing in the shower' song.

If memory serves, the song in question was "Jimmie Jones", which is from their second album, "Magnets". It's probably the best song on "Magnets", although on any given day I'd pick "Alive At The Marquee" or "Johnny's In Love Again" from that record. It all pales in comparison, however, to every single track on their debut, "New Clear Days". Both albums are available on a single cd. "New Clear Days" ranked fairly high on my Listmania.

Thanks for the info. I went to Django's and found this. Would this be a good one to get?

They only had the two albums and that set looks like it includes both of them. For the price, that's a good deal.

Yep, "Vaporized" is both of their studio albums. On one disc, it's an awesome package.

I really like Prolonging the Magic, underrated album in my book.

I like Cake - actually, I think I'm going to listen to Motorcade of Generosity before I start working. Their original bassist was Oh So Tasty, and my playing style has been compared to his on more than one occasion, so I suppose that I should cite him as an influence.

I actually like everything I've heard of theirs. I wouldn't buy any but I have all their albums downloaded.
