Damn is this out?

I actually heard a snippet of him doing "Down By the River" with just him and an acoustic guitar that was awesome.

May have to pick this up this weekend. I haven't bought any Neil since they re-issued "On the Beach".

Buy this one and Live at the Fillmore East. You just cannot go wrong with either of these.

Gonna be listening to this is the car in a few minutes. Can't wait until I get time to watch the DVD

After that:
XTC - The Big Express

And then hopefully Zaireeka, and I'll resume my Flaming Lips marathon.

I got the combo, but haven't watched the dvd yet. It seems that the dvd is 67 min plus special features. I heard there's at least some footage of Neil today putting together the album for the Archive release.

I'm glad to hear that because I opted not to spend the extra money for the combo set for Live at the Fillmore East when I read that it was mainly stills and some other extras. It didn't seem to be worth an extra $12 on top of an already short disc.

This one doesn't disappoint in any respect.

i mean its still filmed kinda weird and fuzzy and idk. i think it adds to the set of music. about a 1/3 of the songs are like footage of a tape player playing music in the hall or something, but idk. whatever. i was geeked over the dvd last night.

what im saying is that the footage of young, intimate neil singing his acoustic classics that ended up on his next few albums is like really emotional. but yeah.

I hear you. I didn't hesitate this time in getting the combo because it was only $15, compared to nearly $30 for the Fillmore combo set. I'm not certain of the logic but I don't care I'm glad to get the dvd and was really happen to read the insert of the 8CD/2DVD set later on for 2007. Of course, I'll only truly believe in the existence of that set when I'm actually hearing it on the stereo. I wouldn't put it past Neil to yank it at the last second.
