I don't know what it is about this band, but I can't get through that Alligator album. I just end up shutting it off about half way through.

if you're turning it off halfway through, you're missing some of the best songs.

I was half kidding, actually. I've played it all the way through before and it just never caught my attention. On repeated listens, I couldn't get the album and just shut it off. Basically, I decided I'm not wasting anymore time on this.

Definitely looking foward to this and a tour...I was blown away by them at Pitchfork last year.

oh man... the show they played at schubas the year before blew away the pitchfork show. (i know red will back me up on that.) they played "all the wine", "mr november", and "murder me rachael" in a row. it was unreal.

I got yer back. Holy shit, that was a great show. I have a feeling that this year's tour will be my last. I wasn't terribly impressed by their Double Door show.

hi matt.

I went back and listened to Alligator again last night for the first time in months, just to see if I was missing something. I've always liked "Mr. November," but never really cared for anything else on the album. This time, "Lit Up" and "All The Wine" clicked for me, and a couple other tracks are OK ("Secret Meeting"), but the rest of it is just about as intensely meh as it gets.

I do have to thank Darrin for bringing a smile to my face by making me think of Meat Loaf every time I hear the otherwise insufferable "Abel." That is SUCH a turd of a song.

From reading interviews, this is about what I expected. Now, please leak (not you katie, some other soul whose job allows it).

Yeah, probably the best song on the album, IMO.

And, somebody get on this leak....TIMIS!
