Bis are one of my favorite bands, but I never see them mentioned here so I was just wondering if there were any other fans on obner. I've been listening to their first cd, The New Transitor Hero's lately and even though it's really differnt than the stuff that I normaly listen to it remains one of my favorite cds of all time. Another reason that I brought them up is that I recently noticed that they reformed under the name Data Panik and I was wondering if anyone had heard anything by them yet or knew anything about that.

If you want I can upload a copy of The New Transitor Hero's for you, which is the best point to start out with them

Teen C Power EP is great
New Transistor is great
Intendo (b-sides and rarities collection) is great

all are fun spunky puppy power pop. lots of energy and bounce.

the stuff after that IIRC is a little more dancey (electronica-wise) and less pop/rock. not as spastic. tis ok but the above 3 are the gems.

ok this is slightly embarrassing but I've never tried to upload an entire cd before, how do I do it? Whenever I try to upload the entire cd it only lets me upload one track at a time.

I'd imagine Mandarin's voice might put a few off!

Picked up their early EP's but don't have any albums proper.

I heard their first single (only?) as Datapanik and it was decent enough.

must zip it or archive it into one file (i.e. .rar or .zip) and then you can upload that

for comparison purposes, here is their "action and drama" single from 1999.

1. action and drama
2. not even close
3. seventeen hours

Didn't Data Panik change their name? I remember reading something in DrownedInSound.com.
