Why didn't I know the deluxe edition has a release date? And that it's November 7th?

Y'all Pitchfork haters need to keep on your toes, otherwise I'm going to have to keep reading it for info like this.

Excellent news, I hope it's as good as the first two reissues.

Cool. I was gonna post a thread about Pavement tonight. My favorite has always been Terror Twilight.

I love the eighth track. I can't remember the name right now. But, I do know he makes reference to never staring at a fetus in a jar. Quality.

I have been on a Pavement kick lately.

i like wowee zowee, but if you are a pavement fan of any stripe this package should excite you. the b-sides from this era were so good. and the live performances from right before the album came out had me so hyped up for WZ that i was pretty dissapointed once it did. So i'm hoping disk 2 gives a little of that flavor.

Really? I think that's their second "worst" (in relative terms, mind you) record. I guess my second least favorite would be more accurate.

And WZ is I guess my least favorite but their are still enough things I like on it that I will be picking this up. Thanks for the tip, mates.

Wowee Zowee has my favorite Pavement song on it:
"Best Friend's Arm"
It's just too damn much fun.

I'll probably pick up all the reissues, as they come out to replace my vinyl. (I have all therir records, save the last one, on vinyl).

I love Slanted, probably above all others, but that's just crazy.

Honestly I don't think it's all that great.

For me WZ hasn't worn well at all, and outside of the Pacific Trim EP and a few other stray tracks, the reissue adds very little of any worth. The stuff on the second disc isn't anywhere near as inspired as the stuff they had for the first two albums. I guess this shouldn't be too much of a surprise, but I've been kinda disappointed by in it in the long run.

It should be noted, though, that I was already familiar with the bulk of the EP, B-side, and comp. tracks that are included. Some of them are on par with the better tracks from WZ. Also, like the other reissues, it's really inexpensive and definitely worth picking up if you don't already have WZ on CD (I didn't).

I wonder if I'd like this album, after CRCR I didn't really give any other pavement album an honest chance

Looking at mine, I realize what the short answer to seafoam's question should be.

Get the Chavez reissue set instead.

Thanks for the input. I'll just stick with the first edition.
