im just listening to this the first time through right now, and i havent decided whether i like it or not. for that, ill probably need another couple listens. one thing i have noted though is that this is problem the most intriguing rap album ive heard in a long time, if ever. its definitely a very different listen. a great album title though, thats for sure.

ill ysi this if anyone wants it, btw.

I haven't listened to any rap yet this year, so I'd appreciate a YSI.

Fantastic Damage is one of my favorite albums of the decade, so I'm gonna let this one soak in for a while, but so far I think it's pretty awesome..

It's definitely the hotness. Quite happy to have the actual disc after tollerating marked mp3s for a month.

Gave it my first listen today.

Initial impression is that it's really good. Right now I can only imagine it'll grow on me as I delve deeper. I can just tell right away that there's a lot of detail and substance to digest.

I didn't even notice any of the guest spots. It all fits together pretty seemlessly.

Dunno, listened to the first two singles off their website, had a similar vibe to me.

Yeah, I don't see any similarities either. I can't stand the Streets.

I guess it is the 'speaking over beats' vs. actually rhyming / rhythm... perhaps I am alone on this one, but it doesn't work for my ears

I love 'Fantastic Damage' but anything I've heard then since didn't really strike me.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Love it so far. It is good to finally have a 2007 release that does not reveal itself entirely on the 1st couple of listens. Something to spend some time with.

This is probably his first real follow-up to FanDam. I think you'll like it.

And wilked, El-P can actually rap, unlike Mike Skinner. I don't know where you're getting this "speaking over beats" thing. Plus he's a way better producer.

Not sure if I'm ever in the mood for the darkness EL-P spits. Fantastic Damage is fucking amazing, but it's perfect soundtrack to the dirty subways and sidestreets of NYC.
I live in Nashville where the trees are blooming and it's 80 degrees. I want to listen to Panda Bear.
