new pizza place in atl just opened with some of the best fuckin' pizza south of NYC...perfect crust, soft on inside, crusty on outside.

philly pizza is by far the fucking worst, most likely due to the fact that their tap water sucks.

What place?

I've heard good things about Village Pizza (in Cabbagetown) but have yet to try it.

philly water is great for breads and pizza.
which is why you can't get a decent hoagie or cheese steak anywhere else.

i'll conceed on average NYC pizza is better, but if you go to the right places it's not a whole lot different in philly.

It's the solid matter that makes it.

I've got one ball of dough in the freezer. What prevents me from just baking it as a loaf of bread?

You're afraid it will mutate into some Amoeba-like bread monster that will devour the world?

absolutely nothing.

Also, if you don't want to fuck with making dough, french bread pizza is crazy easy to do on the grill.

slice in half, brush the insides generally with garlic butter and toast cut side down before you assemble the pizza.

you don't have to bother with a stone, but grill it indirectly on the higher rack.

this is the correct answer.

pepe's vs. sally's

I've never had Pepe's due to my father's friend owning Sally's.

you have to be wicked retahded to wait in that kind of line. or you have to think that pepe and sally run the only games in town. neither is true of the thillhouse. which is not to say that pepe's doesn't get thrown down at off hours.
