Someone start a 'Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga' vs. 'Icky Thwomp' title poll.

At first I thought you were just excited about get general admission tix.

This is reminiscent of Ani's album:

If you go back through the history of Spoon albums, the working title never ends up being the actual album title when it is finally released. Gimme Fiction was originally supposed to be called The Beast and Dragon are Adored. Kill the Moonlight was originally supposed to be called Bring It.

Of course, I've also heard the new Spoon album had a working title of Trouble Minx, so maybe Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga actually IS the real title.

What's the release date???

According to "The Catbirdseat," there are even more possible titles...

Quote:
Titles (maybe) of songs (possibly) to appear (perhaps) on Spoon's upcoming album, It's Frightening (or "Trouble Minx") (or "Stroke Their Brains") (but definitely *NOT* "Fish Fingers"):

- Kindness Kills Them
- Underdog Jon
- My Little Japanese Cigarette Case
- Rhythm and Soul
- Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
- The Way You Said, Yeah He Did
- Black Like Me
- Finer Feelings
- The Ghost Of You Lingers
- Eddie's Ragga
- You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb
- Don't You Evah
- Don't Make Me A Target

if there really is a song on this album called "Underdog Jon," it will immediately become shiv's new theme song, replacing "Who's Jon" by Now It's (shiverhead) Overhead.

Bob, do you this GA GA GA GA GA is ON HIS MIND?!!?

(how you didn't come in for the "kill" on that one early one, is only explainable by your manlove for all things Britt Daniel ;)

Actually, it just struck me the other day that the intensity of the torch I carry for Britt/Spoon has significantly diminished over the past year or so. It's probably just because it's been so long since they've released anything, but Spoon is now simply one of my favs, and not the be-all end-all they were circa 2002-05.

Exactly. When I saw UGa alum discostu -- granted, not nearly the flyest Bulldog on this board, but still, cooler than anybody not from Ga. -- I thought this would be a Mark Richt and/or Dennis Felton recruiting coup man-love post.

We take our GA pride seriously, but this album title just plain blows, so I chose not to associate myself with it (or did I just do that?).

I'd go with Black Like Me, but Spoon never names an album after a song on the album.
