It changes daily but I think it's currently 'Suspicious Minds' with 'Always On My Mind' a close second.

Heartbreak Hotel was always my favorite as a kid, so I guess I'll just go with that one. I was crazy into Elvis when I was younger.

"American Trilogy" or "Kentucky Rain"

The latter was written by the one and only Eddie Rabbitt.

Awesome. Between Eddie Rabbitt and Mac David, Elvis sure knew how to cherry pick the voices of a generation.

Weird to see so much support goin' the way of fat Elvis.

I'm a big fan so picking one is poretty much impossible for me. But, I do really like All Shook UP. I mean, it deserves mention if for nothing else, for containing a couplet like...

bless my soul what's wrong with me
I'm itchin' like a man on a fuzzy tree

'That's All Right, Mama' or 'Heartbreak Hotel' for young Elvis.

I have a fine double disc "Suspicious Minds Sessions" discs around here somewhere with this both 'Minds' and 'Ghetto' on it.

I have always had a soft spot for "Only Fools Rush IN" as well.

I say Young, Old, Fat, Skinny, army buzz cut, or posing with Nixon, everything about Elvis is awesome. If he didn't exist, you'd have to make him up -- only you COULDN'T make up something as absurd as Elvis Aaron Presley --only America can do that, Jack!

Did Elvis actually write any of the songs mentioned here?

I'd go with "Mystery Train" and "In the Ghetto"

that's a very good question. I know he has cowriting credits on a few, but pretty much everyone got cowriting credits back then.

Yeah, it was an "I'll sing your song, if I get a credit" situation, organized by Col. Tom Parker.

Still, openly besides the point. It's ELVIS.

That sounds pretty good. I'd also put "Heartbreak Hotel" in there.

Has anyone heard Mark James original of "Suspicious Minds"?
