I need to move the URL to spadekitty.com and get it hosted, but Graham did a wonderful job and I'm really excited about this.

Gimme some feedback, people!

much much much better. slick, clean, easy on the eyes. awesome job. and this is the best page on the site, forever and ever http://www.grahamcousens.com/skr/pages/shows.html
ha

also, on the artist page, for graham:
"Originally hailing from Detroit, Graham has spent the last year writing and recording ten cool tracks which are cool and mellow acoustic pop. You'll be happy when you can't them out of your head."

i'd re-write that. or at least the first sentence of that. "cool" is used twice within a span of 5 words.

but other than that, bravo. looks great.

Cool. I'm trying to get a ton of feedback so I can give him a bulk of final changes in one slew.

Graham's record will be out hopefully in early march, and you can finally listen to the tracks on both his site and mine, so check those out too and let me know what you guys think.

no email lists to sign up for? Not a criticism, just an idea to get some names on a list,

Also, some of you have to play in Toronto sometime.

The site kicks butt. Why didn't I know about that 10th anniversary show?

Edit, can you get a little icon for the url, like obner has the thumbs up?
I love that, but don't know what it's called. As an architect, beauty is in the details.

How about renaming the Paper Airplane Pilots mp3's from pap1.mp3 to papilots.mp3? I hear they hate pap.

Who's The Three Fifths? Is that Olde Style's remnants?

I think I liked the older logo better with the hand drawn spade and kitty, but the new one is slick.

All you have to do to get a bookmark icon is make a 16x16 image, get a program that will allow you to convert it to .ico format, and save it as favicon.ico in your web directory.

"You'll be happy when you can't them out of your head."

just a small line that won't be remembered when it comes to correcting things at the site.

This is the worst produced website of all time. All time.

I keed, I keed. I think the improvement is a big step in a positive direction that hopefully will bring home some bacon, so to speak. LOVE the mp3 graphic. The best things about the site are that it's not bogged down with goofy, unnecessary animations and drop down menus; it is clearly labeled and easily navigable; and it is clean and to the point. Huzzah and kudos.

One minor note: On the Post Office blurb, it might be helpful to throw in the last names of Larry and Steve for ignorant fucks such as myself who have no idea who they are. Unless they don't use last names, of course.

Nice site. Very nice. Cool even

Quote:
"History of Flying" perfectly illustrates the strongest influences of the Pilots, and the best of the very high points the Pilots have already achieved as well as charting a flight plan ahead.

There is something not right about the way that this written. I just can't put my finger on it. Editing! Line !

The bold verbs do not agree, but the sentence would be awkward regardless.

Too many adverbs. And gerunds. Hows about diagramming the sucker.

Part of the bother might be that it's a pretty generic sentence that could apply to any band.

Here we go again.....most of the copy is placeholder that I just grabbed from here and there...at least it was.

Thanks for the reviews/corrections/fixes. 1) added a email link under the artist pages, 2) changed that funky sentence onthe Pilots page, 3) changed that stupid double cool reference to myself (you now know that I'm extremely uncool), 4) added Larry & Steve's last names, 5) changed the Pilots mp3 titles to read "pilots" instead of "pap".

Ok...you're all onto my development server, so keep the fixes comin.

graham

Yeah...the bookmark icon is next...I'm on a mac and haven't done it before, but I'll give it a shot today. And yeah, there is some problem with the web hosting for the Spade Kitty site that will hopefully be resolved over the weekend.

Everybody's had so many great comments - how about have a look at my site?

www.grahamcousens.com

I figured out today how to randomly generate a different version every time someone comes to the site. That is, there are a few versions, with a different song available on the "Tracks" section, and a different photo for each one.

Alright...back to figuring out the bookmark icon...THANKS FOR ANY COMMENTS OR INPUT!!!!!
