I was thinking "Shooter" or "Wild Hogs" but I am sure they suck, but maybe less than the others that are playing.

Do ya'll have any recommendations?

If yr only option is a huge megaplex, I'd be renting.

I'm gonna try to see The Namesake today. The Lookout is tempting too, it's gotten great reviews

Yeah, I'm taking her easy tonight and am debating on going to see one of the following:

Pan’s Labyrinth

300

Zodiac

The Host

The Lookout

Any thoughts??

out of those I would say Pan's Labyrinth. 300 & Zodiac were good, but PL was on a whole different level.

Megaplex means babysitter and no kids.
Renting means kids and laundry will disrupt the relaxation and enjoyment.

What is Pan's Labyrinth. I didn't see that at my close theater, but I'm up for driving to see something awesome.

Pan's Labyrinth takes place in Spain during the the mid '40s. A little girl and her mother move to be with her new step father who is a high-ranking military captain, who runs a make-shift military base.

At the beginning of the movie we are told that there was once a princess who wandered to the human world, and while there died. It is told she will one day return.

The little girl meets a fairie who takes her to a Faun (think minotauresque) who says she is the princess.

The film focuses on fantasy elements, and then on the rebel uprising occurring in Spain.

Well-written, and shot.

Pan's Labyrinth is the best movie I have seen so far this year. I loved it. Make sure to bring your reading glasses, as it is subtitled.

Absolutely wonderful film, IMO. It also won 2, maybe 3, Oscars.

300 was entertaining as was Shooter. Neither one of them is movie of the year quality, but they were both very enjoyable.

Zodiac is long, but really good and interesting.

Haven't heard of The Lookout

The Host looks awesome, but the closest it is coming to me is Richmond.

Yeah, I'm also checking that out tonight. It is what it is, and that's usually good for at least $8.00 worth of laughs.

yeah go see Pan's Labyrinth.

the only other movies i've seen lately have been Zodiac, which was good but a little long and The Hills Have Eyes 2, which was terrible.

i want to see 300 and The Host.

So I just got back from seeing Meet The Robinsons.
I had no idea what to expect, other than the trailer was amusing.

Totally blew me away. I was just sitting in the mostly empty theater asking myself, "Am I really seeing this? Is this really happening??"

Only a 66% freshness rating on rotten tomatoes?

Easily, and without exaggeration, the worst movie I have ever seen.

I was drunk when I saw it and that didn't even make it better.
