OK, saw this last night, this was MUCH better than I expected and I figured I would at least enjoy it.

Will Ferrell plays his character PERFECTLY

the only problem with the film, and this may just be an aspect ratio problem, but the boom mic was visible in over 50 or so shots...

More importantly, how was Britt's score?

I saw this last night. Will Ferrell actually does a pretty good job portraying his character. For the first half it was hard to get past him being "serious', but after a while you forget.

Other than that, the cast is pretty flawless otherwise.

I was a little disappointed in the predictability of the ending, but it makes it a really good "date" movie at its worst.

I'd recommend it.

meh

I guess "Auditor" was OK.

Got the new Spoon track from that soundtrack? I'd love to give that a listen.

New Spoon track - The Book I Write - should've been included.

The zip had "Auditor," Writer's Block" and "Flours."

While we are engaged in discourse, M-Cap, what should I expect from Ron Washington?

I'm still a little down he wasn't picked as the new manager. Maybe Wash' simply didn't want to be Billy Beane's puppet, which under the circumstances is understandable. I wouldn't worry, the fans and players @ Arlington will take to him quite easily. Did you ever hear the story of Eric Chavez giving him one of his six gold gloves crediting him for just about everything? Hard to say how he'll do as a first-time manager, but I'm fairly certain he'll have a good game plan on how to beat that team in Oakland.

A players-friendly manager will be just what the doctor ordered, because the entire Rangers roster had been on the verge of a mutiny against Suck Showalter for the past two seasons now. Dellucci helped keep the peace in 2005, but he was gone this year, and they damn near put Showalter's head on a stake by the end of this season.

He's a very bad man. Sounds like R-Dub is what we need.

Old news on this one, but after my neighbor told me this movie was "horrendous," I decided it must be good. I was right. I thought this was one of the best movies I've seen in the last few years. The soundtrack was great, the story was creative and Ferrell was perfect.

I liked this movie very much.

I like Will Ferrell very much.

Though not a favorite, I have nothing against Adam Sandler and find most of his movies enjoyable.

I really like Stranger Than Fiction and hoped it was signalling a new direction for Ferrel. This one and Elf are the only movies of his I've been compelled to watch, with the trailers not outright annoying me like everything else.

Then he does a movie with Napoleon Dynamite where he plays an obnoxious athlete. That's more than three strikes. Jack Black didn't even get that much of a chance.

Knowing full well what to expect, Blades of Glory was hilarious, IMO.

If you are 26-32 and you didn't think Billy madison or Happy Gilmore are fucking funny, you have no sense of humor.

Ahem

Sandler is fine if you're 13, but so is Raven Simone. I'll take neither, please.

Finally saw this and it was pretty good. Although I like Being John Malcovitch, Adaptation and Anchorman, so I had to like it at least a little bit. The music in the movie was excellent, too.
