I've noticed that people on this board tend to only like music where the singer has a specific vocal pitch. Generally, everyone falls into one of these groups, and hates the other:

1. The Michael Gira group (also has Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits)

2. The Neil Young group (also has Radiohead, Jeff Buckley)

I'm in the first group.

That generalization is so far off that I'm going to assume it was a joke.

I like M. Gira and Neil Young.

And I'd bet that less than 30% of the people here even know who Gira is (without looking him up first).

I picked "experimental", but I also have a soft spot for a good melody and rocking guitars.

And some of us are probably proud of it as well.

Mostly the first two, but I'll dip the occasional toe into the "Experimental" pool.

Actually, as I type this, I'm listening to this guy:
www.iacmusic.com/multi-panel
And I'm digging it.

I like to pick and choose. Though probably less from the experimental group than the other two...

I chose "regular rock", but really, I listen to awesome rock. Like Andrew W.K. & Bling Kong, & anything with C.C. de Ville.

I voted "experimental" because I guess it's the best fit for most of what I've been listening to lately. But obviously I like it all.

I guess he was using that to make fun of OPA!'s categorizations?
