I basically thought most of the central states( North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas) up until Oklahoma were already ignored during Presidential races.
We occassionally get a token visit by a major leader of the GOP, but the Democratic party only makes short stops in Omaha while campaigning in Iowa.

It's totally stupid, and I really hope such a dumb move would mean that MD would have to send their electoral votes to the GOP candidate.

However, in a long-standing tradition of fence-sitting and refusing to take any substantive stand on anything, this doesn't officially go into effect until enough states to total 270 electoral votes are on board.
