But was he a man who can be summarized in one word as "RAPE"?

If not, I cannot imagine that you gargoyles hold him in the utmost esteem. You might like his work, but without the prospect of "jailing", you'd have to downgrade him.

holy shit

It's "granfalloon." AKA what Obner is.

Cat's Cradle is one of my all-time favs. I have thermos of coffee on my desk with a sticker that says ICE-9 on it. Oh well, Kurt is probably somewhere in the 4th dimension pointing at pieces of his life like a mountain range.

Well thank you. I am not sure how I remembered it as a gunfalloon.

When I logged onto my computer this is the first thing I read. While I'm a little amazed he lived as long as he did, it still sucks. He was easily my favorite author.

Same here.

Vonnegut is a favorite of one my my "literary" buddies who's always recommending books to me (even though he knows I'm not a "reader").

... and *another* thing, Vonnegut! I'm gonna stop payment on the check! Fuck me? Hey, Kurt, can you read lips, *fuck you*! Next time I'll call Robert Ludlum!

He gets props from me just for doing a cameo in Back to School.

RIP

It is kind of depressing that no matter what you do with your life, in the end you simply cease to exist in any form. The electrical impulses in your brain just stop firing.

The only reason we can deal with this knowledge is that we are unable to fully comprehend the enormity of the horror.

What the fuck is so horrific about simply ceasing to be?

And what cats said. Vonnegut had a long run, and a great run. We should all be so lucky.
