MAybe trying to put a little spark in the winter season. They keep on extending the times to release big films earlier and later, so perhaps they are trying to make February an event month too.

Plus, romantic comedy with a star that both guys and girls like just before Valentines day will probably do quite well.

It'd be better if they were re-releasing The Hitcher w/ Rutger Hauer, C. Thomas Howell and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
