Teenage Kicks & Going Underground (Teenage Kicks Pt. 2)

Two double disc volumes with a wealth of early new wave, late punk, pop goodness. Everything from the Jam to Squeeze to The Undertones, to the Specials, to Sham 69 and much more. Some of the song selection is a bit odd and not so hot, like grabbing a live version of Geno from Dexy's Midnight Runners and tacking on a demo version of God Saves The Queen. But, some selections are just excellent, like Up The Junction instead of some of the more overplayed Squeeze tunes they could have selected and they make up for Geno by including Jackie Wilson Said. All in all, quibbles aside, 4 discs of fantastic music and great fun to relive your teenage kicks to.

Right now, Paper Mario on the Wii, but I think I feel like listening to Andrew Bird and Mike Doughty today.

Ooh, have fun! I just downloaded the AB show I saw in Portland last year, which will be one of the 'np' for me today.
