I think it's interesting that 'cologne' rhymes with 'alone'.

Buy Axe. I hear chicks will bang you anywhere while wearing that.

I am boatloads of help.

Folks tell me that college kids bathe in it, amazing the power of advertising.

I randomly licked a guy once because of it.

For shits and giggles...

A forbidden blend of patchouli, cannabis and rose, this sensual fragrance captures the raw energy of a man and the desire for him.

Oh, and isn't it the pheremones a person gives off that attracts you to them? Cologne masks the eau de sex. I haven't worn colgone since high school, and that was only because my girlfriend gave it to me and insisted that I wear it out on dates. That was Abercrombie & Fitch - Woods.

What does the brother think about this, I mean you say that she thinks his cologne is obnoxious and that she wants a clean scent that seems young, but I mean maybe he like obnoxious perfume, I personally think that people shouldn't do stuff like this unless they are asked for help. Although what do I know, he might smell really bad

Well, he doesn't have to wear it. She thinks he needs it so she's gonna give him something as a gift. He's going to be moving to Connecticut soon, anyway, so he can smell like whatever he wants without being subjected to her opinion.

Some valid points brought up about simply using less and that different colognes can work differently with different people. He's admitted to using some cheap imitation stuff, though, so mostly she just wants to give him something nice.

Thanks for the suggestions, all.

Last year there was this kid in my dorm who used Axe spray like it was going out of style, still no ladies, poor kid. The best part though was when his parents were coming to visit and to cover up the weed smell he sprayed it around the room so much that it set off the fire alarm.

Cologne and perfume are like music in my experience... you sure as hell better know the person you're buying it for, otherwise they could be disappointed. It's a very personal preference.

Also, I prefer my men without cologne... :)

I don't wear cologne much at all but my girlfriend loves it when I use "Happy" by Clinique.

I wear no cologne or after shave. Only deodorant.

And I use no mousse, gel or hair spray. Only shampoo.

I'm simple like that.

daystar... truth be told... I've smelled it before and completely agree with you. That's how I knew it existed. My girlfriend at the time had the same reaction as you. I think it's meant for women though or is it uni-sex. We couldn't figure it out.

i just checked it out on sephora's site....and they say:
"This classic scent for men is a sensual, masculine blend of rich fruits like kumquat and dark plum mingled with patchouli, magnolia, chocolate, vetiver, and vanilla musk. It's a memorable scent that leaves a lasting impression."

but 'i' say... i don't it smelled as if it could've been unisex to me.

i'd wear it.

and i don't care who's wearing it.... <pounce>

i have ck contradiction, fendi uomo, dkny men, polo sport and cool water but i haven't used any of them in ages. i've got some of that axe stuff that i use once in awhile but other than that it's just deodorant and whatever soap/shower gel i decide to use that day.

We once had an intern who I could smell from my office before I even knew he was there. His cologne preceded and betrayed him.
