2 of the main reasons I left my last place of employment were these often heard quotes from the VICE-PRESIDENT of the agency:

"Could you maybe use some fonts that are more funner?" (seriously)

"We need to "jazz" this up somehow. I have no idea how though, you're the designer. I'll know it when I see it."

I was just told to take the colors off from a website.
Then they said there wasn't enough color
"We like it....it just needs to be jazzed up a bit"

The #1 (unspoken) rule of Marketing/Advertising:
Read the client's mind. Then, they'll change it.

i always try to make it seem like what i want to make was their great idea

karmic payback: I know I've told Fu and ayah about the "graphic designer" I work with here (a glorified production artist if I ever saw one, who couldn't design her way out of a paper bag). I had a sly smile on my face the other day when I passed her in the hallway, talking with one of our project managers about some brochures she had just recently produced for a conference. He said something to the effect of: "well, I know you just did these, but..... they're really.... boring." I waited to hear her respond vehemently in opposition, but I think he stunned her silent for a good 20 seconds.

i got the CS3 design premium today

it wasn't hard to find if you know what im saying

i had was using the first CS before this
i like the changes ive noticed

a little disappointed that you cant actually draw in 3d in pshop like i had thought
you have to import 3d surfaces from other programs like 3d studio max
still a pretty badass feature
