Will eMusic be carrying the new Blonde Redhead album? It's been a week since its release.

i contacted emusic twice.

the first time, i received a "form letter" looking email saying "blah blah blah sometimes artists/albums/labels come and go blah blah". Then some person from customer service said there was a f*ck up and emusic was waiting on a copy from the label.

but then i found the album's in emusic, just not for the u.s.

so i emailed a second time asking if the album will be made available to us in the us. no response back from this yet.

i'm losing patience as well.

if i had to guess, based on "misery" still being in emusic on 4AD, i'd guess so. just don't know when.

Yeah, I emailed them too and I haven't gotten a response. Bastards.

Mind you, I have a YSIed copy and a CD that I bought this week.

I got this generic email today. I wasn't suggesting an album. I asked a specific question and I didn't get a satisfactory response.

I'd imagine that they don't know what each label is going to up beforehand. I think its up to the labels to decide and do that themselves. I doubt you would be able to get a "satisfactory answer" from them. Either that or maybe emusic just hates the gheys.

Not sure they understood my question, but this reads like bad news for the U.S. folk:

---

Hello:

Thank you for contacting eMusic Customer Support.

At this time, we don't see an updated release date for the new Blonde Redhead album. In some cases, a label or distributor may not provide eMusic with an album in time for release on the same date that it is available at stores. This can happen for various reasons.

Please continue to check our Coming Soon area at the bottom-right corner of http://www.emusic.com/browse/new.html or our New On eMusic area at the top of that page to see if the album is being added to our catalog.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Regards,

Mandy-eMusic Customer Support

Why isn't the new Blonde Redhead "23" (http://www.emusic.com/album/11016/11016358.html) available to those of us in the United States? Their last one was. Will this album be available to people in the United States?

Emusic had Blonde Redhead on their Coming Soon list, weeks ago. Something must've happened with 4AD.

maybe. "misery" is still available.

How long does iTunes have this album as an "exclusive"? that -might- have something to do with it. Don't know, but i'm running out of patience.

I don't get what the big deal about this is if you already bought the cd.
