Laced with Romance has some good, if very same-y sounding songs. I bet they would be a good show to get drunk at...if yer into that kind of thing ;)

Herin lies the problem. It is some student run venue, so I don't know if drinks are sold or smoking is allowed. I just sent an email asking and the response will go far to determine if I go or not. If I am going to have to feel really old around a bunch of college kids, I at least want to be drunk enough to gawk at the young girls. Of course, if the band is something special, I may be able to just get buzzed beforehand and hang out watching them.

if drinking and smoking are key factors of whether or not you attend a show, perhaps you're missing the point of live music. but yeah, they're good.

Free? I say hell yeah.

I only have "Laced with Romance" and I like it a good bit.

The guy sings with some Richard Hell type vocals. They've got this post-punk approach to their music but at the same time they're very melodic.

To me they just sound like good garage rock. They also have a girl singer for some songs.

They've recorded with Steve Albini I think for their 2nd album. I've heard good things about their last release.

Damn good band for the price of free.
