I don't know if the Spam is any more of a hinderance here than on other message boards. There seems to be enough posting on here to force all the Spam off page one, plus I'm sure the moderators delete most of it in a timely manner anyway.
I guess a more stringent registration wouldn't be a bad thing, since we don't really get that many new posters besides spammers.

Well, I am for it unless all the old board members had to go through the registration interview with a mod retroactively. I am afraid I wouldn't make the cut.

How about requiring that first post be approved by existing member (or just mods). Registration stays the same, but first posts are screened to make sure they're not spam.
