I keep hearing that it was only the 5th time a team has hit 4 home runs in a row in the same inning. And this leaves me trying to envision a scenario when it could come over the span of more than one inning. The only thing I can think of is that one of the 4 was a walkoff and the rest happened leading off the next game. Which probably hasn't happened.

I didn't hear anyone make that same inning distinction. I did hear only the second time against the same pitcher.

I suppose there are ways you could hit a home run and still make an out. For example, failing to touch one of the bases. Still seems unlikely.

The Yanks get what they deserve for throwing that minor leaguer out there in Fenway. Torre was awful all weekend from all the stuff I've read.


I'm sure Steinbrenner offered to back a truck load of money to Roger Clemens back porch after this weekend.

Hopefully Roger has his own truck to move it again, because that could get really annoying if you wanted to barbecue or something.
