Prescription sunglasses fucking rule the entire world! Life changing!

I got a pair of Maui Jim's for my birthday last year, but finally went to the eye doctor and got the lenses switched. Got the amber color with the mirrored fronts. ROCK!!

We had 70 degree weather last week so I went out and bought celebratory sandals and capris. Now it's only about 50 degrees, but I'm wearing them, dammit.

I think I'm getting a puppy.

I bought Wilco tickets two weeks ago and still have not received them yet. I'm a little nervous.

I told my boss to "get a grip" today. Sometimes, I really like the environment I work in.

I'm thinking I'd like to shoot a gun at least once in my life. I need a range partner.

I have to decide where to go with my vacation days.

I am a complete and utter narcissist today.

Like minds think alike... supposed to be 68 here today, so I broke out the black capri leggings, or as the kids call them today-- footless tights (ridiculous).

And I'm sure Rads can tell you what shoes I'm wearing today.

I want to know what shoes she's wearing, Rads.

I completely adore my outfit. The sandals are cute and sparkly.

Even as grown-ups, you can never escape the presence of and effect of cliques.
Heathers, forever.

Last night I went and saw Demetri Martin live, and it turns out that stand up comedy is much funnier on the TV because you don't have to listen to the drunk rednkecks behind you the entire time

Re-heated Mac n Cheese is gross. But my son doesn't seem to mind at the moment.

Picking up after one kid was bad enough, now I have two that drop their food everywhere. sheesh

I'm really cold and really tired.

I wish the weather would make up its flippin mind already

I need new jeans. Hell, I need new everything.

Where's a money tree when you need it.

Oh great, the noise of loud things falling just came from the room my son is in.

He was still funny and made fun of everyone for being drunk. I got to meet him and hang out with him for a few minutes after the show and he was nice, and oddly enough funny.

This happens every night at my house. Usually multiple times per night. I used to think crying meant injury, but now realize it just means they're still alive.

He's been a favorite of mine for a while now, though I have yet to see him live.

I Tivo everything and he's totally a Myspace friend, though.

I'm going to see a book reading by one of my favorite authors tonight: Haruki Murakami.

<----- excited

Currently I'm reading Bukowski's: "Hot Water Music". For me, it's Bukowski>Thompson

Just saw Fractured the other night. That Gosling guy must be a graduate from the lazy school of acting.

If gas prices get any higher here, I'm going to have to walk to work.

I can't function anymore without caffeine in the morning.

wow, just got out of a marathon MOSS 2007 setup on a test network... I know you're all envious beyond belief, but.... re: the consultant I was working with:

- he happened to be from North Carolina... we talked ACC sports for a bit, and I expressed my irrational hatred for any blue/white teams
- his girlfriend happens to be working at the same company as him, and they moved out to Portland together without a plan about 2 years ago i.e. they're both IT geeks
- he had a stud diamond earring in his left ear
- he had on a nice Banana Republic shirt (I recognize those fuckers now)
- occasionally his eyes would wander down while I was talking to him... to my cute ballet flats? to my rockin' capris? to my décolletage? ;)

They're only cliques if you care about that sort of thing, Todd. Once you don't care, you are your OWN clique.

You know, I never noticed guys' wandering eyes until I started having sex. I was pretty damn oblivious to everything for a long time though.

What is your take on guys with earrings?

Typically I don't like them.... if you had asked me back in 1986, I probably would have said differently. What's my take? As in do I think they're gay or not? I dunno... I'm kinda done with trying to figure out why people choose to accessorize the way they do, but typically, no, I'm not into pierced or tattooed guys.

Oh no, I just meant if it was aesthetically pleasing to you or not. I'm not typically for the way it looks, but I can be swayed on most things.

Anything can be aesthetically pleasing dependent upon the personality, imo.
