Opinions?

After a first listen, I'm not too impressed. I'll have to give it a few more spins though. Their output gets weaker and weaker, I think. For me, they'll never top The Man Who.

The Man Who
The Invisible Band
The Boy With No Name

Even with their album titles, it seems like they are trying not to be identifiable.

i was a pretty big fan of The Man Who and I even enjoyed parts of The Invisible Band, but I don't even want to hear this. The cover is pretty damn cool and I love seeing that Travis font but this just really rings of "NO POTENTIAL" to me. I don't get why they're still making music.

The expiration date on Travis was 17/10/2000. Why are they still on the shelves?

Good photo on the front cover though.

i used to moderately like this band, but having recently listened to their albums again for the first time in several years, i can say unequivocally that they just are not very good. not at all.

First album was great, second album was a letdown, I haven't heard this one yet, but it's not sounding positive, clearly.

This is probably true, and given that The Man Who was maybe 1/2 good, it's hard to see why anyone still bothers.

You mean you've not heard the first album, the second album was great, the third was a let down and you've not heard this one yet.

And none of that accounts for when they performed under the name "On a Friday."

I liked one song from the debut, most of The Man Who, 3 or 4 songs from The Invisible Band, and one song from 12 Memories. This new one has been getting a lot of good reviews so I'll probably check it out. But I was under the impression that it doesn't even have a U.S. release date yet.
