I'm sure we can all agree, according to this thread, that there is bad music out there that we would hate to have to be subjected to for eternity.

I would say an even worse torture would be to have to listen to a great song and not get the payoff from it.

2 examples:

You hear the opening echoed riff of "Welcome to the Jungle", the vocal build up, the drums and main riff are about to kick in when..........SILENCE. The whole thing starts over again. You never get the payoff.

The distorted guitar of "You Shook Me All Night Long", the solo guitar that anticipates the crushing drums and chainsaw riff, as the guitar finishes the lick and slowly fades............here it comes.................NOTHING. The riff starts again.

I suppose there are better examples but you get the drift.

As in you could listen to all your favorite songs, anytime, as long as they're performed by Kids Bop.

that is pretty terrible.

My shuffle has started doing this to me. There are a few songs that, for whatever reason, just stop at some really good part and then it goes to the next song. I've pulled them off and reloaded, nada. And they work fine on the pc. You should see my face, as the smile fades, then turns to curiousity, and finally rage.

bush's glycerine. then when you think it's over after the 34th time of hearing the chorus, it goes back to the intro. tony stamos was all over that. glycerine.

The pile of coke makes sitting with Stapp seem like it might be alright after all...

and yo, if my dad sang Captain Beefheart songs throughout my childhood i'd deem him byfar the sweetest man on earth. My dad is already awesome, though. The Beefheart would just be the icing on the cake!

Any single song on repeat for eternity. The worst would be if it were one of my favorite songs, and eventually I'd start hating it.

Yeah, it's alright when it's just Beefheart singing, but when your dad, who can't sing at all, joins along it just becomes grating. I mean I guess the old man did alright by me, he was the one who introduced me to about 50% of the music that I listen to and I still steal cds from him whenever I go home.

Kathie Lee Gifford, Barbara Mandrell, and the Judds--together doing covers of my favorite songs, but singing to children with the Strokes backing them up while Pete Doherty shoots heroin into my asshole with dirty needles previously used by Steven Tyler circa 1982.
