Hey, just got this new one from Lockgroove a couple weeks ago and it sure sounds good so far! Been listening to it a lot. Lot more of a pop sound than the last one, kind of like the Autolux album that I also like a lot. And a more upbeat version of that Secret Machines album with less Pink Floyd influence. But these guys are a little more special to me than either of those bands. Definitely worth checking out if you like this kind of music. Think along the lines of Ride and My Bloody Valentine and all the poppy shoegazers, but mixed up with a little George Harrison from All Things Must Pass. Not exactly the Beatles era George, but the "My Sweet Lord" one. Some Dusk at Cubist Castle in the mix for the Olivia Tremor Control fans in the house, but you still have a bunch of that Jesus & Mary Chain sound too. Pretty cool. Still, I've only got in a few listens so don't put too much weight on what I say....nice 4.5 star review at AMG that says all the right words if you click on the cover below ;)

Also just saw a couple days ago that Jim Laakso made it his #1 of 2004 at the fakejazz site ... "Best of both ends of the spaceshit spectrum: brutal rock attacks and sweet fuzzed-out pop. A great record from start to finish with luv-lee production sheen."

Woulda been high on my list too if I'd gotten it a few months ago when it was released.
