I think something like this has been done before but I cannot recall whether it was here or CMJ. With the hope of discovering new points of divergence, where does everyone go on a daily basis?

I typically go to the following:

www.metafilter.com
www.engadget.com
www.fark.com
www.gizmodo.net
www.slashdot.com
www.boingboing.net
www.newstoday.com

Only so many days in the year, kiddo, to do all the drugs, and rock the stage like a tidal wave, and slay a lot of gash (some with cocaine judiously applied to it pre-penetration), and write about it, with the last being the least important. So, maybe every sixth week, there is new BH material.

Otherwise,....

With my Bloglines account, I get RSS feeds on a number of sites in one spot that I can access from any PC with web access. Among the victims:

Technology, Gadgetry and Electronics
http://www.engadget.com :: Tech gadget news, consumer electronics
http://www.gizmodo.com :: Very similar to engadget
CNet News :: Tech news

General Bullshit and Tomfoolery
http://www.boingboing.net Take your mind off work for a few minutes
http://www.kottke.org Some useful, some odd, usually interesting links.
http://www.preshrunk.info :: Some cool t-shirt designs from other sites
http://www.snopes.com :: Urban Legends reference page, and don't forget http://www.straightdope.com
http://www.memepool.com :: Links to weirdo shit, last week had a huge Lego church. I mean huge.

Politics and Op-Ed
http://www.opinionjournal.com :: Free online section of WSJ
http://www.plastic.com :: Interesting political/socioeconomic banter on this discussion board.
http://econlog.econlib.org :: Library of Economics and Liberty. Economic articles and opinion
http://www.drudgereport.com :: Easy for quick news, plus it has that laundry list of columnists.

I apologize. I forgot that Trent likes his indie-cred replenished with each tour or album, i.e. drumming from one of the dOOdz in the Locust on a European run about two years ago, guitar from the really gay dOOdz in the Icarus Line.

note: dOOdz is singular and plural.

np: The Impossibles Anthology "Everyday" (sadly, not a Dave Matthews cover, which would have been better than the pile of poo the song actually is... fuck me for ever listening to a Britney-wannabe intercollegiate-volleyball-player, whose bondage-pants made her punk and whose boyfriend sang in a trad-ska band, when it came to getting music advice... fuck, I didn't even get a hand-job out of suffering her platitudes for the Impossibles (who, of course, are from Austin, Texas)

Thanks for a couple new websites.

My default home page is mail.yahoo.com

my firefox toolbar (probably my most visited but honestly there are more) is:

http://cbs.sportsline.com/
www.pitchforkmedia.com/
obner.org
allmusic.com
www.ajc.com
washingtonpost.com
790thezone.com
espn.com
imageshack.us (essential for quick copy/paste action)
radio-info.com
http://pollstar.com/
www.sportingnews.com
http://www.imdb.com/

I've got more sports ones that I keep close at hand. While we are on the subject of favorite websites, this is the best baseball stats website for you fans----it is essentially the be all for settling arguments, kinda like allmusic or imdb.

If anybody knows of a similiar site for football, I would appreciate it. I used to go here but they don't update the stats anymore.

Oh yeah, 1 more. MIKE JONES

I also post to another board that Damen and Dri and I met on. But, I prefer to keep that one private just cuz we don't want unwanted interlopers about.

Forgot these sites:
