i think it comes in 192 kbs, so it shouldn't get to less than that.

I thought they were 128kbs?

There are some apps that will strip the DRM out of the protected Itunes files, such as Jhymn. I haven't used it yet, so I can't say for sure how well it works. Someone try it and report back. I triple-dog dare you.
