actually, I've encountered this strange hot-girl-with-webcam ring a couple times - I think they try to add you to:
A) get more biz for their sites, and
B) get your email address so they can start spamming the hell out of you...

You girls should be lucky to just be getting the "creepy encounter" messages...

yeah, I had enough of myspace, all these ridiculous messages and cheesy bands trying to be my friend basically spamming me all the time. I had to ditch it.

Although it is overcrowded and most of the bands are ruthless with promoting and sending shit out, we've actually gotten more shows and people saying nice things through here than anywhere else. Who needs a website anymore?
