I put together a mix of one of my old stand-by's...Portland's very own Richmond Fontaine.

Here is a recent story on them - including the info that it looks like Willie Vlautin's (lead singer) book is going to be made into a movie by the same guy that did 21 Grams.

I put together a RF mix back in August---guess it didn't attract much attention ;) A bit of overlap.

My wife just finished Vlautin's book (he was a highschool friend of hers)---said it was very good.

No worries. The more exposure they get, the better. Love this band.

This is pretty good, Rads. I'll admit that JSBE is nowhere near as bad as I tend to think it is. There's some good rock and roll on here.

I'm gonna do up the Counting Crows mix hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Here's a re-up of my Nick Lowe/Brinsley Schwarz mix.
It's mostly Brinsleys stuff, actually, but there's a pretty good sampling of some of the best. Although I am missing some of the mid-period solo stuff.

Anyway:
Code:

Country Girl (Brinsley Schwarz)
Only A Fool Breaks His Own Heart (Nick)
Ju Ju Man (Brinsley Schwarz)
She's Got Soul (Nick)
Surrender To The Rhythm (Brinsley Schwarz)
Teacher Teacher (Rockpile)
(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding (Brinsley Schwarz)
So It Goes (Nick)
Don't Lose Your Grip On Love (Brinsley Schwarz)
Heart Of the City (Nick)
Dry Land (Brinsley Schwarz)
They Called It Rock (Rockpile)
Egypt (Brinsley Schwarz)
Cruel To Be Kind (Brinsley Schwarz)
Love Song (Brinsley Schwarz)
Marie Provost (Nick)
I Got the Real Thing (Brinsley Schwarz)
Nutted By Reality (Nick)
Home In My Hand (Brinsley Schwarz)
I Love the Sound Of Breaking Glass (Nick)
Give Me Back My Love (Brinsley Schwarz)

Did anyone do a Steve Earle mix?
He certainly is deserving of one, and with all the recent talk about him, I realized that I can do a pretty thorough one.

I just didn't feel like combing through all 12 pages here.

It's been threatened before but never done (as far as I know).
