On saturday, while at Home Depot, Peter, Bjorn and John's "Young Folks" came on, and the brother who looked just like Kenyon Martin who was helping me started whistling and then stopped in a weird embarrassed way when he noticed I was whistling, too. He mumbled something like "That shit catchy, man."

Nice patio furniture + a stereo + some tiki torches + a tub of ice cold beer may be what saves me from going crazy this summer.

my horoscope in Vanity Fair is hilarious. (Something about balancing your domestic bliss with the feeling it is strangling you)

In the same issue, there is a huge essay about the US being like Rome...I wrote an essay on that in 7th grade which got me some local award for being smart or some shit.

send me my horoscope Dave... "my name is Dana, and I am a Taurus." (see, I told you I was a Kate girl at heart.)

- two benadryl will knock me the fuck out... took them around 7 pm last night, and was in bed asleep before 9 pm. Didn't get up until 6:30 and I'm still woozy. But hey, at least I'm rested and not a snot rocket today. And thankfully (or not thankfully), it's raining today so the pollen will get knocked back a bit.

"My name is Luka. I live on the second floor."

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE? Every time someone types something, I think of random song lyrics to go in its place.

My bartender/friend just emailed me asking to come into the bar late tomorrow and stay until closing. I haven't really been frequenting the bars of late, so that will be a long night, though I don't think much drinking will be involved.

I'm seeing a 10.20 showing of Knocked Up tonight. It's a 2 hour movie, huh? With an hour drive home, it will be a late night tonight as well.

D, I've been told elsewhere that $50 is generous, so I guess I'll lower that a bit. Too bad I don't have more money, beceause apparently people around me would totally make out.

I'll reserve a place for ya, but you and Beth will have to take turns, because she really needs the boost even more than her much taller sister.

I'm not sure, Stacey, but $50 sounds pretty generous to me.

I think he broke up with me a few weeks ago. It's all very confusing.

It's been a pretty rough half year for me so far and I must say, music has been a godsend.

HePoet (or "HePoet") is not of this world. I suppose we are offically broken up, though. You are probably as confused as I am right now.

- True friends are awesome... I sent out an SOS email to friends asking them to please distract me this week... I've got plans for every night of the week. How cool is that?

- got offered a weeklong house/dog-sitting gig for $50 a day. So I guess all my spending in NYC is taken care of now, haha.

- menstruation sucks.
