Do you mean more serious-sounding stuff? I don't think there's a Ween song that's genuinely serious. Deadpan, sometimes. Depraved, often. But not serious.

Though maybe I'm reading them wrong. After all there are some who take Type O Negative, Butthole Surfers and The Frogs seriously, so why not Ween.

it's all relative, you're right. I know a lot of people who can't take the solo Sting stuff seriously.

I was referring mostly to tunes that have a more natural vocal approach and lyrics that don't reference daisies/cheese/etc.

I haven't felt the need to own another Ween album besides C&C.

Can somebody please hit Gibby Haynes with a sack of door-knobs for even thinking he could destroy "Dancing Queen", let alone trying to do just that?

ABBA pwns Buttholes, LOLOL!!!1!!

You should be blaming that one on Johnny Depp, not Gibby.

And if youre true, the whole wide world will laugh with you
When we see nothings wrong with you and me
Time will tell, it might even bring a wedding bell

Well you suck, cause you know I aint nothin but a user
Of your love I cant get enough
Girl its true, the whole wide world is smiling with you

Lennon and McCartney would be proud of these lyrics

I love them. Pretty sure that's well known. One of the best lives shows out there too. Their fans are insane.

I saw them after 12 Golden came out, and it was good, if a little goofy. That was the first time I ever heard Piss Up A Rope. Then, I saw them a year or two later, and they suddenly had a serious Gear budget. Les Pauls, Mesa stacks, studio guys backing them... shit was heavy metal. And GOOD.

My favorite, and I'm surprised you're the only one who mentioned it.

I'm not a big Ween fan, but I still get an urge to put on The Mollusk every now and then. It never disappoints. Pure Guava and Chocolate and Cheese both get kinda old after a little while, but I like them.

Probably one of my favorite live bands of all time, even though that outtakes album was my favorite thing they've done since 12 Country Golden Greats.

I've met at least two guys who did, so I guess that qualifies as "some."

But one of the dudes was also moved to tears the first time he saw that Ozzy/Lita video for "Close My Eyes Forever." So, okay.

I thought I posted the vid, but I guess not. I really dig the legomation on the Mollusk.

Can't remember if the Live in Chicago DVD/CD was mentioned, but its well worth the price. I heard that it was out of print as well, though that could just be a rumor. Either way,if you get a chance, snag it.

Cotton, when you mentioned the "rarities" collection, were you speaking about 'Shinola'? I really dig it. I think its actually distributed now that you don't have to order it via Chocodog.

The other thing I really love about Ween is that they embrace the live taping scene. With them being such a great live band, its cool to hear them in their glory.
