Yeah, either I'm getting older, or the selection of stuff just wasn't there. Was going to pick up boxsets, but multiple disc (2 or more boo!) were not included. Vinyl was pretty picked over by the time I got there. Methinks the manager let some collectors in before I got there at 10:45.

This is what I got on cd:

Daft Punk-Discovery
Beulah-Yoko
Pete Townshend & Raphael Rudd-The Oceanic Concerts
Jarvis Cocker-Jarvis
Rob Crow-Living Well
Vic Chestnutt-Silver Lake
John Vanderslice-Pixel Revolt
Fujiya & Miyagi-Transparent Things
Elkland-Golden
Ed Harcourt-From Every Sphere

Spent about $30. In years past, they've rolled out big bins of used stuff, but this year, it was essentially what was in the bins. Frederick usually is pretty well stocked with used, but today it was horrid. But once again, when I got there, the vinyl section was picked over except for John Denver and Phil Collins, and people were walking around with like 50 cds in their baskets, so I feel lucky I found what I found. I don't even want to know what the Baltimore locations were like. Yikes.

Nice NY pickups btw. How much were those?

Jesus Fu, that's a hell of a vinyl haul. Nice work.

Yeah, R&TT. All day today. I'm glad I actually read one of their emails, because I kept thinking it was Sunday.

I didn't pay more than $5 for any record. Most were 2.99 or 3.99.

While the Annapolis vinyl was better than usual, the used cds bins were pathetic. For the New Years sale I probably picked up a dozen used discs, but not this time. I went through the Alphabetical racks, but I was already tired of browsing everything by that time.

Sign on the door says this local record shop is closing down, but apparently the other locations will stay open.

This pisses me off, because now there is not a local shop in town anymore. Well, Oceans, but fuck that place.

Hmmm, weird. I know that they've been looking for managers and other positions like crazy. Seems like everyday I get a new email from them saying they're hiring. I would've pulled the trigger a few times on management positions, but not in the shaky world of brick and mortar record stores.

I got offered a job there one day while buying a significant stack of discs. I politely declined.
