I'm having a dickens of a time trying to share my music with a mac-using friend of mine across the internet. I can set up an FTP server that she can access but it is intolerably slow. I tried DC++, but the mac client is lame and she cannot see my files when she connects. Soulseek, the only P2P software I've ever been able to tolerate, doesn't work for mac. Mediafire and IM are out because I don't want to have to actively participate in the process.

Am I missing something? This should not be hard.

There's a good version of soulseek for the Mac called SoulseeX. I use it all the time.

Nicotine works on Mac, too, I think, if your friend wants to install X11 and crap, which she probably doesn't.

I just like giving useless advice.
