I'm heading on a road trip later today for work, and while I'm loaded for bear on music, I wouldn't mind listening to an audiobook for at least part of the trip.

Henry Rollins Get in the Van, and some of his spoken word discs. Won't be able to upload until a bit later, though.

in in the process of downloading a shitload of them for my sojourn, but yeah, none on me. Unless you want about 3 hours of interviews with the Clash.

or you can get Anne of Green Gables for free on itunes...

I have Get In the Van, but the other ones would be great. How much later? I am going to take off by 4 ET.

Thanks.

In the mood for short stories? Check out Escape Pod, a podcast consisting of sci-fi short stories. Since they're short, you'll get through a buunch of them. http://escapepod.org

Might take a few days now as I gave up the project since I wasn't able to meet the deadline. You interested in Get in the Van as well?

You could download some This American Life episodes. If you get a Mozilla add-in called Down Them All or something similar, you can download the episode by using this address in the program: http://audio.thisamericanlife.org/jomam ... isode#.mp3.

You can get the episode descriptions and #'s from TAL's site.

Thanks, everyone. I did listen to a couple short stories off of escapepod.org, and through that found out about this site, which has short horror stories:

pseudopod.org

I'm d/ling a few of these, and will listen to them on my commute to/from work.

Sketch, I would still like to hear those Rollins spoken word things, but no rush. Thanks.

Yeah, that's good too, but I have XM radio in my car, so I can listen to the comedy channels on there, if I'm in the mood for some funnies.
