An event I wouldn't normally attend, yet there I was...attending the Pre-Warped Tour Party last night at The Glasshouse. My interest in going? The Gallows -- my fave band of 2007! Taking the stage in front of a primarily adolescent audience who knew fuck-all about them, they quickly gained new fans. As always, they failed to disappoint and made me love them that much more. Punk rock at its truest form.

While seeing The Gallows again was pretty damn cool, there was a special guest scheduled to perform. Mum was the word at The Glasshouse with no one revealing who was to headline. I figured it wouldn't hurt to stick around ...hmm, who could it be? BAD RELIGION!

I've lived in LA all my life and I have never seen Bad Religion. So, you can just imagine the size of grin I was sporting throughout the show. Old punkers who still have it going on! They played new stuff, a lot of old stuff and the audience was eating 'em up!! They were great! And in a small club like The Glasshouse, it couldn't have been better.

Btw, why didn't anyone tell me that Radcliffe is a Bad Religion member?! Brett Gurewitz = Radcliffe?

Cool. I gave up on the Warped Tour about 6 years ago but I have fond memories of seeing Green Day, BR, Pennywise, Rancid, and all those Epitaph/Fat bands that I loved in the 1990s.

Yeah, Warped '98 was a large time. Cool that you finally got to see BR, Tania. I'm a big fan.

New as in brand new? Haven't heard anything since Empire... yet. That was OK. As much as I love their material up to Stranger than Fiction, the only album since that really impressed me was The New Amerca.

They played a couple of songs from the new album -- sounded alright, typical BR stuff.

Alas, I won't be attending the Warped Tour for a second year. I actually had a decent time last year and saved a lot of money as I wasn't tempted to buy merchandise from any band.

In retrospect, the only thing I ever got out of Warped Tour was a pissed off sense of irony and a killer sunburn.
