After a couple listens:

The MUSIC itself is pretty awesome. The drumming's always gonne be tops. And the guitars sounds better than they have in a LONG time.

But the vocals/lyrics...just aren't good.

I think I just have to chalk this up to "my tastes have changed". Because it's not like Billy doesn't sound "as good as he did" or anything. I guess I just don't dig the whiney vocal thing anymore from him.

I just have not been able to really tolerate this band in any form in a long time.

Time to just cut my losses and stick to the old stuff.
