Jesus, save this poor jewish boy from burning down his office.

I'm so frustrated and exhausted that I might even shed a tear at some point tonight, I'm fucking done, time to get that resume going again.

sorry about the vent thread, I'm just so pissed off today.

Nope. I dig mine 18 different ways.
Come in when I want, (mostly) write about what I want, have a great boss...

No complaints outta me.

mine recently took a turn towards shithole. I've got a meeting tomorrow that I'm going to try and turn into a trial but looks to be already into sentencing, so by lunch I might have a different outlook.

Yep, there's where I'm at. Some days I love it, some days I want to kill everyone in the world.

Like my job, find it very rewarding but it is VERY stressful. More than any other I've ever had.

I've had dozens of shit jobs before though that I've either quit or have been fired so I feel your pain, man.

Having a job you hate is a bad thing for every other part of your life. I'm lucky these days- I'm going on 3 weeks sitting at home with the paycheck coming twice a month, just like every month. I go to Miami for 3 days next week, then back home until the following weekend, and it's off to Belgium/France for 2 weeks. After that, who knows. Either back to sitting at home getting paid, or some other odd destination for a bit.

I can't even grasp the concept of having a good, enjoyable job, but that's mainly because it's been retail for me from day one and will probably continue to be until I die -- with my luck, at the age of 130.

If you steal stuff from your employer though you'll feel better about the situation you're in.

I love my job, though, as you know, it sometimes borders on the insane.

Sorry you're having a bad day, lil' Dave.

I like the people at work but the work itself is not particularly interesting or rewarding.

My job's not bad, but I've also only been here for a month and a half, so give it time...

Mine is retail as well, but it's very good retail and I like it a lot. That being said, it is retail and I'd rather not do it forever.

I'm closing in on 2 years at this position, and doing anything for two years can get pretty boring. But I can't say I hate it, and can't really imagine anything better in my field or location.

I like my job and my bosses. I'm a lucky girl. I was also unemployed for a while before getting this job, so I might be a bit more appreciative and tolerant than some.

Sorry you're having a bad day. Burn it to the ground.

I love my job, but it causes me much duress. I don't feel like I can talk about it here. There are spies here, I've learned in the past.

All jobs would be fine except for co-workers and bosses. You correctly qualified the question regarding people who "like" their jobs, with the word "asshole". Workplace revenge violence is under-utilized but usually poorly planned, hurting the innocent. In its place, there should be some "magic" equivalent of all workers being allowed to carry weapons and be allowed to use them to respond to the assholes and others who constantly abuse and harass others.

I actually am enjoying my current position. I believe having my own office has seriously contributed to this feeling.
