i think there is a good point in this about the album being fairly one dimensional and not reflective of the non-aggro part of SP's past work.

i am going to give it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10

and i am a huge pumpkins fan....

i think i will stick with the 6.5 rating....

it had so much potential of being freakin awesome...to tell you the truth, i am a little let down. but HELL its better then anything since adore (solo, zwan, and SP)

yeah i agree with that... i feel like billy's voice has aged or maybe i'm not just as big a fan as i once was, but it grates more since adore, but this is the best since.

billy's voice seems trashed. he has a lot of trouble hitting the high notes these days. it's a shame. his high voice was ace on the early records.

just sounds a lot like a drummer and a guitarist masturbating all over a record (not surprising since they're the only actual members). Even Zwan was much better and more focused than this.

I was gonna say that the guitar sounds a lot like Queen at times, then found out that the same guy who produced it produced some Queen albums. But the guitar just sounds unmemorably cockrockishly overblown.

The vocals all throughout the album sound like a first-take demo, and it seems like Corgan is turning away from the mic before he even finishes each line. It's not all bad, but it just sounds like an amateur rush-job.

it's good, and can bring the rock, but it's all-rock all the time. AND it's a little message-heavy in a couple songs.

probably not a keeper for me, but i'll give it at least 1 more shot.
