So, I've got three iPods (a 15g, 30g and 60g) and a library of 20,000 songs, which will likely swell to about 24,000 once I get the rest of my CDs converted over.

The 60g is one I bought from FT and in doing so I inherited a prodigous collection of about 12,000 songs that didn't overlap much with mine. I've got no clue how I should separate the library between the three and am wondering if you all have any idea how to do this sensibly.

Anyone?

I'd probably delete all of FT's music so you don't get a rash.

j/k

First thing: turn off all auto-sync functionality for each one.

Use ephpod to copy FT's (and other) pod's stuff back to a desktop you can use that has enough room.

Get mp3tag and sort out all the mis-tagged shit on your hard drive(if there is any, which there may not be). When in doubt, artist - year - album\track# - title; mp3tag is good at that.

Check out MusicIP.

Truth. And John Denver.
(shudder)

Though his soul and old R&B collection were among the many great additions.
Respe't.
