I love beer.
I'm not a big drinker, so a 6-pack will last me a month or so. Therefore, I don't mind spending a shitton on a great beer. These are my recent favorites:

Saint Bernardus Abt 12 (yeah, I know I did a whole thread on it recently)
Guinness
Traverse Brewing Company Stout
Bell's Oberon
Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale
Bittbürger
Bert Grant's Scottish Ale -- (anyone know where to get this around Chicago?)

Your's?

Newcastle

If there's no Newcastle, I'll pout for a little while and then grab a Goose Island Honker's Ale or that 312 stuff.

Ha!
One of the reasons that I was interested in my wife (the night we met) was her affinity for Newcastle.

I'm pretty easy to please, but am picky when given enough of an option. Dogfish 60 Minute Ale is probably my standard.

-Most of the beers made by Sam Smith, especially the organic lager
-Rogue Dead Guy
-Victory Hop Devil (or Hop Wallop when I'm feeling especially bold)
-Yards Philly Pale Ale
-Penn Pilsner
-Red Seal Ale
-fucking love Fat Tire, but not easy to come by here. I'm hoping that the website lies when it tells me it's not available in southern California.

-and of course the high life for tying one on.

Any IPA fans?
I, for one, find them a bit too bitter/hoppy in general. Seems odd, for a self-proclaimed "beer guy", but that's just me I guess.

I KNEW there was a reason I liked you, Cotton.

Love the Sammie's (especially the organic lager)
Dead Guy, Shakespeare Stout and American Ale are always good uns
Red Seal is great

(of course, I can only get Dead Guy down here in Bammie)

I also went to 3 grocery stores and a Sam's when in TX so I could locate a warm case or 2 of Fat Tire to go Smokey and the Bandit style back to Bama.

You will be able to quaff the Fatty's all over SoCal, mang.

I also, obviously, love Guinness (dad has it on tap!)

and my go to is usually Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (mainly because it's the most refreshing and readily available round here.)

I too love Fat Tire, but to tell you the truth, I've yet to find at a store. It could just be that I'm not looking hard enough.

yeah, the site only lists NORTHERN California, which I guess will result in me driving to NV for beer every once in awhile.

The brewery is in Fort Collins, CO and is pretty much on tap in most places in the state I think.
