The original sentiment is much better.

There was this old Twilight Zone episode about a 10 year old kid who could make any idea he had in his head happen in real life. Subsequently, every country and continent outside of his own hometown had simply ceased to exist, and people he didn't like were running around with human bodies and chicken heads. Etcetera. And all the adults had become infinitely frightened of angering the kid, so they pussyfooted around trying to please him.

I can't remember how it ended, but somehow I hope that little fucker died.

based on It's a Good Life by Jerome Bixby.

I fucking love that short story. I forget how the TZ ep ends, but the book ends with snowfall the boy had created, and someone noticing how it'll kill off half their crops.

Lil' Ronnie Howard was the evil boy if I recall correctly.

The one where he didn't like what his sister said, so he made it so she had no mouth?
