(re: the pricetag) Actually, it's less a function of the cleaners' lawyers, and more a function of the douchebag. The more he throws at them, the more they must defend themselves.

The Boogermart has experienced some of that, with a fussy upstairs neighbor who desperately wished that a lawfirm had gone in. There never was any interested law firm, but he just, you know, sorta really wished there had been. So he dug around and figured out that her patio wasn't listed as "just" hers, but technically everyone's even though it made no sense (attached, advertised as hers, all doors go through her store, etc). That's $3,000 and climbing in legal fees. To use her own patio. Because of some douchebag.

I don't know about you, but if someone sued me for 65M, I'd want the best representation I could afford. I'd also countersue the shit out of whoever started the lawsuit.

My hunch is that the judge probably didn't own a car because of a drunk driving conviction in his past.
