I'm going to a meeting Monday night to find out more details, but basically I'll make $3,000 a month and healthcare, housing, and round-trip airfare are included. Basically I'd only be spending money on food and booze. The more I think about it the sweeter it sounds. The only problem is that to get this specific job I have to go through this company who want to charge me a grand to get TESOL certification which is probably a ripoff.

I see you ending up with Gary Glitter problems in Korea. Best just stick with the internet.

I thinking about trying to do this in Japan next year after I graduate from college. I've known a few people who have done this and they all have had an amazing time.

This isn't Japan we're talking about, it's Korea. And as stupid as I am if I claim to be teaching anyone English, it's going to be legit. And it won't be inside my walled compound. At least not yet.

Yeah, I sort of regret not doing so. I'd probably wanna go to Eastern Europe, tho.

Look for the barber shops with two poles spinning in opposite directions- full service. And avoid walking by storm drains.

In case no one has said it in this thread, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I'd think long and damn hard. Something is rotten in Denmark.

Also ask yourself, why is that everytime someone thinks about doing this it's always in Korea?
