I love both these songs and not ironically. I think they're great.

"The Way" by Fastball is a song that I always liked.

(For some reason I always associate it with that Marcy Playground song, and seeing that mentioned here triggered the above suggstion.)

Eagle Eye Cherry

Thanks my man.

Some final additions that made the cut:

Whatta Man - Salt N Pepa
Shania Twain - You're Still the One
Monkey - Counting Crows
1st of the Month - Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

These were requested.

Hey look man, I was tailoring it to a specific audience who had specific requests to specific years.

Also, that's one thing I don't do is crap on FemDerris' music. I've turned her on to some good stuff that she really likes but we have an agreement that I don't roll my eyes when she want to hear top 40 and she doesn't roll hers when I'm playing the new LIARGS.

I thought 'Whatta Man' is En Vogue.

I have this but couldn't hook you up until Sunday at the earliest.

I also have available the following:
Fuel - Shimmer
Len - Steal My Sunshine
Chumbawumba - Tubthumping

I, (un)fortunately, do not have any Spice Girls, Lou Bega, Ricky Martin. Get spoet to hook you up with some Matchbox 20.

It's En Vogue singing the hook but it's a Salt N Pepa song.

Appreciate the offer but it's all done and on it's way to the North Cack coast.

I actually offered up that Len song as a suggestion as well but it got vetoed. All these girls were sorority sisters for these years and all the songs on there were shit they all either loved, hated, or had inside jokes about.

Ah, white girls singing Bone. What a sight.

The album that "Sex & Candy" came from isn't bad. I worked for a record store when that came out and took the promo copy when no one else wanted it. I still break it out about once every two years. I miss working for a record store.

Todd, I heard that Fastball song at the Kane County Cougars game on Sunday. I sang along. Not a great album, but a few good songs.

Sorry.
The minor-key verse to major-key chorus gets me every time.

Any way you could work "Hey Man, Nice Shot" into this mix?

I know you don't want rock here, but what's a late-'90s terrible pop song mix without a heavy like that? Maybe you could make it into a "hidden track".
